Consultation is perhaps the most crucial step in any journey with a client.
For me, it’s the opportunity to get to know a new client as a person, and get a better understanding of their business – what it is they do, and how they’ve been marketing themselves up until that point.
It’s also where the client gets to talk to me about where the direction they want their business to be going, and the tools they would like to utilise to achieve that. My role then becomes that of an advisor and making suggestions as to what would be more appropriate and beneficial for that particular business, because there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
Each client and each business is completely different.
If your business is going to thrive more from social media, then that’s what I would be recommending – not trying to sell you unnecessary stuff like websites and online stores when you’re not going to benefit from it.
I understand that for sole traders and small businesses, watching your spending is of the utmost importance, so I’m not here to sell you stuff that you don’t need.
